For a few of these photos, I brought out my larger zoom lens, the 55-250 mm. I feel like the 55-250 focuses better than my 18-55 mm lens does, and that pictures taken with the bigger lens turn out way clearer too. These pictures are the best pictures [mostly the flower pictures] I’ve taken in a while, despite the high ISO and it’s bad effects, in my opinion. Which is awesome, because then I’ll [hopefully] be creative and ready for my final these next few weeks.
FLOWERS. yep. for the bright pink flowers, I was focusing more on the raindrops and the color, not really the actual flower itself. I like how these turned out.
SMILE.
Dogs smile, oh yes they do.
RAIN. I was screwing around with my shutter speed, after totally failing my attempts for the last project. These didn’t turn out as I was necessarily wanting them to, but I kinda like them. They almost look like they are brush stroked or painted or something. Nifty.

WHITE BALANCE. Alright. So I have used Lightroom once and didn’t really like it, but I guess my computer didn’t save it so now I need the code to get in to Lightroom, but I don’t understand the application at all. So I just changed the White Balances in Camera Raw (PhotoShop) and made 2-picture collages instead of screen captures.

IDIOMS.
Definition: “an expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements, as kick the bucket or hang one’s head, or from the general grammatical rules of a language, as the table round for the round table, and that is not a constituent of a larger expression of like characteristics.” – definition straight from dictionary.com
got my ideas from here: Idiom Site
Here are mine!
HIGH AS A KITE. It is definitely appropriate for this idiom because I made mine to be jumping as high as a kite.
GOING OUT ON A LIMB. She is walking on a giant arm.
LEND ME YOUR EAR. One of Jesi is handing her ear to the arm of another Jesi.
MUM’S THE WORD. She’s saying “mum”, but then says nothing at all, like the idiom means, to keep your mouth shut.
ON THE SAME PAGE. They are both standing on the same page and she is high five-ing herself, but she sucks at it, so her arms aren’t lined up.
And all the pictures used to make the idioms:
A Few Portraits.

a family friend and her son wanted me to do senior portraits for his graduation announcements so here is what I did in about 25 minutes. I’m probably doing more for actual prints within the next few weeks. He was difficult to photograph for a few reasons.. 1) he was being super grumpy and would not even smile. 2) he just wanted to get it done and go home within like 20 minutes. 3) he normally will talk to me, but during this, the only thing he said to me was “don’t put these on Facebook.” Well, WordPress is definitely not Facebook. 4) his clothes and the colors of his clothes were horrible. Yeah, his mom was kinda upset.

BABIES.
My nephew Tian is almost nine months old now, and he is striving to learn how to walk and will run with the tricycle. But when he stops, he falls over onto his butt if he lets go of the tricycle. He is also crawling super fast. My dad wanted to put him on the tricycle for a little bit, holding him while pushing him, that is. And we also got a swingset and baby swings in our backyard because there are always little kids running around if we have company over, an also until Tian grows out of it-which that won’t be for another five years or so. Here are some pictures of Tian. I was kinda sad that he wouldn’t smile as much as I was told he would if I put him in one of the baby swings.
“look, it’s his first stunt!” -Jesse
This picture was an accident, but hey! zombieee baaaabyyy!
The only thing close to a smile he gave me when he was in the swing.
